Punarnava root is mainly used to treat gonorrhea, internal inflammation of all kinds, dyspepsia, oedema, jaundice, menstrual disorders, anaemia, liver, gallbladder and kidney disorders, enlargement of spleen, abdominal pain, abdominal tumours, cancers. It cures corneal ulcers and night blindness, helps restore virility in men. It is also administered orally as a blood purifier and to relieve muscular pain.
