Overview Introduction Avirox 150mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It is effective in resolving most infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, lungs and skin. It stops the growth of infection causing bacteria and thus resolves the symptoms. Avirox 150mg Tablet should be taken orally on an empty stomach. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. Commonly seen side effects seen with this medicine include nausea, vomiting, pain in the abdomen and diarrhea. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration. Safety Advice Alcohol SAFE Consuming alcohol with Avirox 150mg Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects. Pregnancy SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Avirox 150mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. Breastfeeding SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Avirox 150mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Driving UNSAFE Avirox 150mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. What if you forget to take Avirox Tablet? If you miss a dose of Avirox 150mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
